This past Sunday, members of the Koast Radio 106.6fm Outside Broadcast and Events Team, including The G-man, Shaun R, and Karen R, joined forces with ASDA, Ashington, to support a noble cause - the "Tickled Pink" breast cancer awareness charity. It was a heartwarming day filled with community spirit and generosity as the team and volunteers gathered at the store to collect donations for this vital cause.

"Tickled Pink" is a renowned charity that focuses on raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research, support, and prevention. Every year, numerous individuals and organisations come together to support this cause, and this year, ASDA 106.6fm decided to make a difference.
Sunday's Success
On Sunday, amidst the bustling aisles and cheerful shoppers, the "bucket shakers" - Amanda from ASDA and our own Karen R - stood at the entrances, welcoming customers and collecting donations. Their dedication and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, and it showed in the results.
The Koast Radio team worked tirelessly to ensure that every contribution counted. Their passion for the cause was palpable, and it motivated others to join in and support the charity.
An Incredible Achievement
The generosity of the Ashington community shone brightly on Sunday. In just one day, the team managed to raise a remarkable sum of £682.28. This outstanding achievement was a testament to the power of collective action and the kindness of individuals who want to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
A Heartfelt "Thank You!"
But the success didn't stop there. Over the course of the three days - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - a grand total of £1822.31 was collected for "Tickled Pink." This accomplishment was not possible without the incredible support of the Ashington community.
