Over a sunny(ish) weekend near the end of May, tribute bands and other acts descended upon Craic Park at Morpeth.
Months of hard work by Andy Holden, Vince Race, and many others paid off as hundreds of punters, families and a couple of dogs danced the weekend away. Fairground rides, beer tents, food stalls, etc Everything you could want at a festival, but this one was on our doorstep.
Tribute bands like Kazabian, Little Mix Magic, We are Champion, and UK Chili Peppers rocked the punters over the 2 days. Everywhere you looked smiling faces, some with glitter butterflies, some a little bit sunburnt were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
I was there on Sunday tea time for a couple hours, and saw Tony as Robbie (Williams) and Queen cover band We are Champion. They were both fantastic, and well worth checking out.
Same again next year please lads…
