The Skids’ Last Electric Club Shows for the Foreseeable Future 8th June 2019

Punk fans of the North East, Scottish punk-rock and new-wave band THE SKIDS will be performing at the O2 Academy in Newcastle tonight, Saturday on the 8th June with one of their Last Electric Club Shows for the Foreseeable Future as one of their warm up shows for their Albert Hall Gig.

The band’s largest success is with their 1979 single, ‘Into the Valley’, which got to UK Number 10, and their 1980 album, ‘The Absolute Game’, which found its way into UK Number 9. the boys celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2017 by releasing 'Burning Cities', their first new album in 35 years!

They are also set to return with a brand new acoustic album “Peaceful Times” on the 28th of June 2019. The album will be released on CD, limited edition white vinyl and available digitally and will feature 10 new acoustic variations of songs from their career. Including a new model of “Animation”, which originally appeared on their second album “Days in Europa”.
