On Tuesday 14th May 2019, nearly 60 golfers took to the golf course at Longhirst to raise money for Mental Health and in memory of the late Robbie Livermore. The timing fits in with Mental Health Awareness Week and it is vital that we continue to make this subject a priority in the UK’s Health arena.
Koast Radio and Longhirst Golf’s partnership proved to be a winner in hosting this fantastic event.
Garry Scurfield, Koast Radio director said, “The sun shone down and blue skies blessed us all. What a stunning environment Longhirst Golf course made; it was the most perfect day for friends, family, teammates and many other people to get together and enjoy a day of golf. Participants are already talking about doing it all again next year.
Massive thanks to everyone behind the scenes and of course the sponsors for their support, without them we would not have been able to make this happen.
Keep your eyes peeled on Koast Radio and Longhirst Golf social media pages which will be updated with memories of the day.”
Teams included boxing legend Glenn McCrory, BBC Match of the Day commentator Guy Mowbray, and ex Newcastle United players; Olivier Barnard, Archie Gourlay, and Paddy Atkinson.
