Easter At The Bebby 2019 raises £1420 for Northumbria Blood Bikes

Well, what a CRACKING Easter weekend that was! Heres a few brief notes:

Friday! . . The Sun was shining the refreshment tent and Blood Bikes gazebo were up and our campers started to arrive.

BACK UP PLAN rocked our socks off with a fantastic 'something for everybody' set-list! The Bebby was full and the atmosphere was fantastic with everybody singing and dancing, through to nearly midnight. Cheers Ladz!

Saturday! . . Again the Sun shone brilliantly! Our fund raising began in earnest. Koast Radio joined us with a marvellous outside broadcast of their shows giving us great music outdoors on the 'summer like day'.

THE REPERTOIRE DOGS supplied our early evening ROCK with a tremendous set and fun from crazy frontman Dave Oram, Emma and the Ladz who had the Bebby 'chocka block' and spilling out at both front and back. What a FANTASTIC gig!

After a short break, while we 'sold, sold, sold' raffle tickets and Domino cards, ACDC-GB took the stage? by storm!

An ACDC tribute to rival any out there! WoW!!! We were well and truly ROCKED! Cheers!

Many Thanks too for Steve Harper who, as well as playing bass for The Durgs, provided PA cover for both bands! And what a MINT sound it was too. We did manage to raffle some Egg Hampers and draw our Mega Draw. . . What a NIGHT!

Sunday . . . Even Sunnier and hotter! This is usually our chill-out day. No Chance! The back and front of the pub was filled with 'very generous' sunbathers! lol. It was an 8pm start for our Sunday band ZEN! Cannot praise these Ladz highly enough! They were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! What a great 80s Tribute! The Bebby was bouncing while their massive audience Disco'd? the night away and what a night it was! Well that was it, all done but the count up!

11am Monday the collection bucket seals were cut and their contents counted!

We do have a few people to thank so here goes. . . Alan Dewar for the use of his, well sorted, camping field! . . Northumberland Blood Bikes who attended with bikes and information, chatting and laughing with our customer and guests . . Our barstaff; Andrea, Sam, Kirsty, Erin, Paige and Elisha for keeping the drinks flowing and tables cleared! . Carol Hartshorne for designing and making our fabulous Easter Egg Hampers . . Anth Purdy for our poster designing . .The folk of Koast Radio for the advertising, face painting and 'outside broadcasting' Alan and the rest of N.B.B. for working with us and the Marmite hamper! lol! . . 'The Back Up Plan' who stood in at our hour of need and did us proud! . . Steven the caterer who managed to feed the hungry mass's at meal times, his Pulled Pork was beautiful! lol . Steve, Carol, Andrea, Jeannie, Christine and our barstaff for selling tickets n cards and sorting the raffle . .Dave (Obs) for his great 'Bottle In The Box' gamble game! . . The Repertoire Dogs who as well as playing their hearts out also provided Saturdays PA. . . Alan Byrn who 'knob twiddled' with Koast radio then dep'd on guitar with the fantastic 'ACDC-GB' who ROCKED! . . Thank You too 'ZEN' for a BRILLIANT, sweaty, but unforgettable 80s music night. . .

Many Thanks to all those who donated goods, services and/or helped us in anyway whatso-ever. Also to every single one of you that turned up and supported this event.

Being able to give a £1420 donation to Northumbria Blood Bikes for having a weekend of fab music, great fun and laughter tells me it was a GREAT success!

. . Thank You All!
