Gerry is a true Geordie, born and bred in Wallsend. Having been a radio presenter in the 80s, Gerry has also worked as a Blue Coat in Pontins, Blackpool the same year Shane Ritchie (Alfie from Eastenders) worked there. He enjoyed many years at the Blackpool Tower with the likes of Freddie Starr and Candlewick Green. Gerry has shared lifetime experiences on Coastline FM 97.6 in Malaga, Spain; he was also a Club 18-30 rep in Agios Georgios, Corfu. He was brought up and mentored in the DJ world by his biggest fan Lenny Fraser from After Eight Music and Kevin Bishop.
Gerry brings with him a mountain of experience and a passion to “keep it local”. You will find a round up of Ashington events, issues and stories. Packed with guests, debates and local news as well as great music, Gerry will keep you informed and entertained.
