Koast Radio is working with the Illegal Money Lending Team to warn of the dangers of getting involved with a Loan Shark.

We want to encourage people to come forward and report any loan sharks operating in our area.

If you know a loan shark or if you’ve borrowed money from one you can report them anonymously 24 hours a day to:

Update – As of Wednesday 4th May 2016 – M4M has raised a massive £5416

Well done to all that have helped in achieving this fantastic result so far


2017 sees the return of the Match for Margaret.  This year the Koast Radio XI will take on The North East Football Show on Sunday 30th April 2017 at Ashington CFC.  Kick off 3pm, gates open at 12pm.  The North East Football show team will inevitably contain some ex football professionals, many from the North East desperate to avoid another defeat to the Koast Radio Team.

Ex NUFC goal keeper Kevin Carr will manage the Koast XI all funds raised on the day will be donated to Wansbeck Hospital Palliative Care Unit and Little Frankie Sherwood (a local boy battling against Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer)

The match will be filmed and broadcast through Sky on the North East Football Show.

There will be lots of fun fill activities going on throughout the day including, fun fair rides, stalls, bouncy castles, face painting to name a few.

SENRUG – The South East Northumberland Rail User Group – is a voluntary organisation that promotes rail travel and campaigns for better rail services in, within, to, from and through South East Northumberland, representing the interests of both existing and potential rail travellers in the area.

By ‘potential’, SENRUG means those who would use rail services if only the trains went where they want to go, at the time they want to go, at a price they can afford, and in a clean, safe, secure, accessible and easy to understand manner.
