Koast Radio presenter Ant Rutherford has joined BBC Radio Newcastle.

Director, Garry Scurfield said, Ant is a great presenter, we are very proud of all of our presenters and volunteers at the station.  It fills me with immense pride when I see first hand how their involvement in the station can lead further opportunities, particularly employment.  We have worked really hard to ensure that we can help individuals to gain confidence and develop social and communication skills.

A trip to the 40’s at the Block & Tackle

A trip to the 40’s at the Block & Tackle

Koast Radio joined the Block and Tackle for a great family fun day which transported everyone back in time to the 1940’s.

A great family fun day for all of the family with singing, dancing, competitions and rations from the era, with great displays courtesy of Station Entertainments and Blyth Battery.

The whole event was broadcast live on Koast Radio with our team of presenters including one of our teenage presenters Jessica Prothero.

All proceeds raised in aid of the Fallen Fusiliers Charity,
