Two Suspected Loan Sharks Arrested in Newcastle

A 51 year-old man and 57 year-old woman were arrested this morning (31/01) on suspicion of illegal money lending and money laundering following an operation in Newcastle upon Tyne. Cash confiscated from convicted loan sharks has been awarded to a community radio station based in Ashington. Koast Radio, who broadcast online across South-East Northumberland, have been awarded with their full bid of £1,675.
